of the new law.
The seven sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life: they give birth and increase, healing and mission to the Christian's life of faith.
There is thus a certain resemblance
between the stages of natural life and the stages of the spiritual life.

Baptism
We celebrate the sacrament of Baptism on the second Saturday of the month.
During Lent
we suspend the monthly celebrations
Only baptisms in case of emergencies.
During Easter
we celebrate Baptisms
during Sunday Masses.
(Limited Capacity)
Must register the child for baptism at least a month before the desired baptismal date.
Below is the basic information and requirements necessary to prepare and receive the sacraments.
Children to 6 years old
Documents needed:
-Child's State issued birth certificate (Original)
- Proof of attendance to Pre-Baptismal Sessions for parents and godparents
- Godparents need to provide confirmation certificate.
- Godparents: If living in a marital union must present certificate of Sacrament of Matrimony.
All documents need to be presented
at the time of registration.
Children 7 years old and older
Children over the age of 7 need to be registered for the RCIA program. Please contact the religious formation office at 915-852-3520.
Pre-Baptismal Sessions
We offer the pre-baptismal preparation for parents and godparents/sponsors every third Saturday of the month. It is important to note that the norms of the Roman Catholic Church for godparents/sponsors state the following: must have received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. If married, must be married by the Catholic Church and provide the marriage certificate from the church. The universal norm of the Church is that Sponsors be practicing Catholics, that is, attending Sunday Mass regularly, and giving a good example of Christian life to their godchildren.

Niños menores de 6 años de edad
Documentos necesarios:
-Acta de Nacimiento del niño(a) (Original)
- Comprobante de asistencia a las sesiones pre-bautismales de los padres y padrinos
- Los padrinos deben proporcionar el certificado del sacramento de Confirmación.
- Padrinos: Si viven en unión matrimonial deben presentar certificado de Sacramento del Matrimonio.
Todos los documentos necesitan ser presentados
al momento de la inscripción.
Niños de 7 años y mayores
Los niños mayores de 7 años necesitan ser inscritos para el programa de RICA. Por favor comuniquese a la oficina de formacion religiosa al 915-852-3520.
Sesiones Pre-Bautismales
Ofrecemos la preparación pre-bautismal para padres y padrinos cada tercer sabado del mes. Es importante tomar nota que las normas de la Iglesia Católica Romana para padrinos establecen lo siguiente: deben haber recibido los sacramentos del Bautismo, Eucaristía y Confirmación. Si están casados, deben traer el certificado de matrimonio por la Iglesia. La norma universal de la Iglesia es que los padrinos sean católicos practicantes, es decir, que asistan regularmente a misa, y den un buen ejemplo de vida cristiana a sus ahijados.

Reconciliation
The sacrament of Reconciliation,
or confession, as its commonly known,
is offered every
Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in our church.
You can also call the office
to set an appointment
for another day and time.
The church recommends the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least once a year, or more often if it is necessary.
Reconciliation must be in person,
it can not take place over the phone
or through video call.

Sábado a las 3:30 p.m. en nuestra iglesia.
También puede hablar a la oficina

Anointing
of the Sick
The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick
is offered in case of grave illness.
"Hence, as soon as anyone of the faithful
begins to be in danger of death
from sickness or old age,
the fitting time for him to receive this sacrament has certainly already arrived."CCC1514
Please contact Holy Spirit parish office to give the information of the person who is sick so the priest can visit them. 915-852-3582
If the person is from another parish

the family can contact 915-834-9006
and they will help them
reach a priest that is on call.

El sacramento de la Unción de los Enfermos
se ofrece en caso grave de enfermedad.

In the ecclesial service

This is what the Church means
by saying that the priest, by virtue of the sacrament of Holy Orders, acts in persona Christi Capitis.
